![]() Did you know? In the past, meeScan required activation after being downloaded and installed on the user’s device. The activation was done either by scanning an activation barcode or by manual entry of the 8-digit library activation code. Now, meeScan is automatically activated based on the user's location. The new 'Automatic Activation' feature performs system activation at the beginning of each session. This means that patrons downloading the meeScan app for the first time will not need to enter or scan an activation code. They simply enter their user credentials and can start checking out items. The process is seamless for the user. When visiting other meeScan enabled libraries users will be able to use the system without the need to re-activate. meeScan automatically knows where they are!
